Quality of Life Development Fund
- Our dedication to Negev communities makes the Negev Foundation eager to support all of the region’s programming. Our partners’ support has led to countless incredible accomplishments, and these accomplishments will surely continue.
- Beyond giving the Ramat HaNegev Regional Council the help they need to make the programs they envision into a reality, the Negev Foundation also strives to see the area become self-sufficient so that, one day, Ramat HaNegev will no longer rely on our philanthropic support for community projects.
- That is why the Negev Foundation, in collaboration with the Ramat HaNegev Regional Council, is proud to establish the Ramat HaNegev Quality of Life Development Fund.
- The goal of this fund is to ensure that communities in the Negev have access to the financial resources they need to enhance economic growth and quality of life initiatives.This fund will assist new and existing communities with the creation and maintenance of projects encouraging education, recreation, and social and cultural enhancement.
- Whether it be for daycares, playgrounds, sports fields, or any other services that make Ramat HaNegev an ideal place to raise a family, the money that inhabitants need to enhance their communities should come to them from a centralized funding source specifically dedicated to community projects. Once this fund is in place, the regional council will have the freedom to allocate its resources to these communities as it sees fit and will no longer need to rely strictly on our philanthropic support.
- Specific projects the region is looking to fund right now include:
- A teleprocessing program for Negev Sinai school to promote technological education
- A mikve for residents in the Nitzana cluster
- A regional music room for the Mashabei Sade school
- Hiring of a new youth guide and development of catering services for the existing “Youth Cruiser Team,” an after-school activities program for teenagers in Ramat HaNegev
- The Ramat HaNegev Quality of Life Development Fund is especially vital now that COVID-19 has changed the world, resulting in uncertainty in regions like Ramat HaNegev. In order to achieve our goals and maintain our vision of the Negev as an escape from the tumult and congestion of urban centers, we need your partnership and your financial support.
